Puts on an incredible show. Seen him live 3 times now. Once opening for Gojira, again, headlining with Animals as Leaders, and most recently at PPUSA performing with Anneke van Giersbergen (Who was there with the members of a few other bands, performing material from The Gentle Storm, Ayreon and The Gathering.)

Got his albums Infinity, Ocean Machine, Terria, and Phsycist, with my fave song being Bad Devil.

He's actually going to be playing in Manchester today. Contemplating whether to go or not. Gonna be quite tired after my night shift for the rest of the day D:

I'm currently listening to Otto Klemperer conducting Tchaikovsky No. 5 which of course is a far cry from anything mentioned above, but none the less Devin Townsend is in fairly frequent rotation.

Wrote him off for years because I don't particularly care for Strapping Young Lad or his vocal work with Steve Vai. I'd heard a song or two here and there that I'd like. I liked what I had heard from Infinity and I liked Ziltoid, but it wasn't until Skulls N Bones here introduced me to Numbered! from Addicted that I really got into him.

Addicted is probably still my favorite album he's done, but I've amassed at least most of his discography at this point. Swalchy, you should definitely get your hands on at the very least Ziltoid, Addicted, Deconstruction and Epicloud. They're pretty fantastic.

Funny story. I actually thought you guys posted your replies filled with nothing especially Cyric and MXC until I loaded the page filled with unsafe scripts from Google to access them. So basically, I liked those 'seem to be empty' replies for all the wrong reasons XD. Sorry about that. Should I remove my like or do you guys not care either way?

In other news, I'm currently up to Henry Tudor in England's Succession of Kings from William The Conquerer in 1066.

Whereas I knew a bunch of the less than savory details and tons and tons and tons of plotting and betrayal etc... I didn't realize that it was QUITE that skullduggerous. I mean... Wow. There were MAYBE three Kings that weren't heavily opposed, at war with a pretender/challenger, were murdered, or deposed, and even then how they got to the throne or the situation they were in prior to inevitably being crowned is likely dark and full of tribulation.

I always enjoy when people talk about wanting to live in Medieval times like it was some walk in the park. I'd love to be able to observe it but actually living then sounds like a nightmare.
