Too true. In all likelihood, many of the votes for The Forbidden Series Tactics likely came from people who hadn't played any other Tactical RPGs. I say that not as a condemnation of The Forbidden Series Tactics - having not played any FFT games, I can hardly judge them - but as a generalization on the way people tend to vote on internet polls. Not much to be done about it but vote how you like, as often as you like, and don't take the results too seriously.

I have to say - FFT is a great game and the PSP version (you should play because it features improved English translations of several scenes, includes extra scenes not in the original PS-1 version, and has the upgraded "Ivalicean dialogue" included).


Example: Default game conversation might go like this, "on screen"

"Hey, wait. Where are you going ?"


Updated PSP - "Ivalice Accents, etc"

"Hold, sir. A word with you, I'll have. To where are you headed this storm-wracked eve ?"


It's more like they talk in The Forbidden Series XII - hard to describe, but unmistakeable when you have played that game and heard it !

Even now I can't find poll results. And nobody commented on the winner in the poll topic dedicated to it
