Deanna's Shield

I'm watching a streamer play thru Book 2 of SFCD and I've noticed in Deanna's SDMN battle sprite his shield seems to have some japanese text written on it, some sort of inscription or something. Was wondering if anyone else had noticed this and knows what if anything it means.

It's a dragon, It's a pegasus with a horn, it´s a ..... I don't know :confused:

i didnt consider looking at the artwork. i just noticed it on the in battle sprite and it looked more like japanese characters rather than an actual image. Thanks for the info. I feel silly.
