Shining Hearts: Why nobody seems to care about this game?

I didn't realise emulation was playing such a big hand in this game's popularity.

I always thought that Feather got its major backing because it was the only sign we've had in nearly 10 years that a new Shining game with anything close to the tactical gameplay of the original Force games, and people were keen to give this the support needed to encourage Sawada that we wanted more games like this. Then Hearts was released, and it felt like Feather's gameplay style was being treated as flash-in-the-pan and the series was returning to the slew of "only Shining because it's got the name stuck on it" games, so lack of interest resumed.

Have to agree 'Hearts' is of no interest to me as it (more or less) can't be emulated and I don't want to play it on a teenie PSP.

And Also Feather is maybe not coming to US but the fan translation is still a way to do it.

Going to check out JPCSP with a game I currently own. I still have doubts that it'll be able to run it though.

Forget it. JPCSP won't even start and I'm not going to register for their forum just to download the program's launcher.

Personally, I don't care about it because it's in Japanese, it's on the PSP, and I can play Rune Factory in english on a system I own. There's also that it doesn't look all that interesting to me, where as Feather caught my interest enough that I imported it.

October 24th revision, loads up my PSP game ISO (Assassin's Creed Bloodlines), but it runs at only 1 FPS. PSP emulation still has a long way to go.

It also depends on your system, of course. If the games runs at 1FPS but otherwise is running with no problems, then it's probably your system. Though Idk if Bloodlines has emulation issues or not.

I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I keep hearing that piracy is the reason more PSP / NDS games were not localized but plenty of titles on both systems sold pretty well. I think SEGA may have just given up on the Shining series in the West because the ones they did localize on the PS2 didn't sell very well. (Of course, arguably the reason they didn't sell that well is because they were mediocre "action RPGs" instead of Strategy RPGs that most Shining fans seem to prefer).

I would absolutely buy "Shining Hearts" if it was localized, but I'd much prefer "Shining Blade" or "Shining Force Feather".

I CARE! I love both styles of games with in the series and would love to play any shining force game given the chance.... its just most people around here don't agree... hence why the world doesn't get any more shining force games...
I would be interested.... only I don't know if you can port a Japanese game and play it on my US system.... Sorry, I hear it works, and that it doesn't. If it does, I personally will port it and self translate it.. Heck, the reason I am learning the language is because of Shining Force. If not... I might buy a Japanese system and share it with friends (at a cost) so they can play their games too. Who knows!

THANK YOU!!! I just got a PSP just last week (sale.... I got a purple one, but could have waited till black friday for a cheaper one) and have never really looked into it because I could never afford one till now. I hear so many rumors for different games and systems I can't keep track of what works and doesn't ...... NOW LOOKS FOR A CHEAP GAME TO PORT OVER......

I will play this and say what I think... so far it looks like fun! (shining games in my opinion... no matter how crummy... beat almost all other games I find these days)

Fun Fact: That game is harder than Shining Blade/Ark to hack, so don't expect much from a translation project coming out from this one. (Maybe me in a few years xD)
