Hello K0D
new edit on Thu Jul 06, 2006 7: pm :
Finally found a way to do again the image without doing it from the biginning. I don't think difficulty was about bmp/jpeg, but the way I've mixed everything together

Sorry, my words were a bit too strong.
I'm not at all nervous or angry about you.
I only say : if you don't take time enough for explaining to me those things, I have too much difficulties for doing work for you. That's all!

Is it usefull I do again the "Mystery Resolved" image so as to your computer will be OK with?

Please,
Remember : (Posted: Thu Jun 29, 2006)
K0D :
the 10 changes need to be at least 5 pixels apart from each other

joelsylvie :
Please, can you write this "quote" sentence again, with more simple sentences. my english is not fluent enough.
Thanks
If you think it will be too difficult or boring or will takes too much time for you to deal with me(I know how many thinks you are involved in), I can understand you could not be OK. But I only need some initial understandings.

I've never had
neither real explanation about that "red" sentence (the 10 changes ... each other)
nor "initial understandings" :
-- what is the purpose of these pictures?
-- why ("to the normal eye, you cant notice this") eyes are not sufficient?
-- why do you need to test my image with computer?
-- what is a "contest"? = examination for your studies? = competition for your pleasure? = some side(annex? appended?) work for the Translation project?

By the way, I had no real difficulties about language with english people. perhaps with some american sentences? however, I had no difficulties with Legalize Freedom's sentences. So ... ?

Sorry again
I hope things will get better.
Bye

There is a game I created for the nintendo DS called photocup, I entered it into a competition to win, for prestigue, prizes, whatever

I do not NEED the images, but I would like as much as I can have, and also it is a way for artists to show off there works and talents.

now the image has to be perfect, because the way the computer works is it looks for all changes and makes a note of the change

this in turn gets placed into my game

here is an example on how my game works

NOTE: This is not my game, this is someone elses
http://www.ccss.co.uk/StudentWeb/games/ ... ohunt.html

as for the red portion
pixels are the dots on the screen
so lets assume 0 is black and 1 is white

0110000011
0110000011
0000000000
0000000000
0000000000

in my computer will be ok

BUT

0000110011
0000110011
0000000000
0000000000
0000000000

will give me

0000111111
0000111111
0000000000
0000000000
0000000000

making the 2 images into 1 image

as for the naked eye peice

Top Pixel Bottom Pixel
Red 255 254
Green 255 254
Blue 255 254

if this was the pixel attributes of the top screen pixel and the bottom screen pixel

to the eye they look the same color, it is hard to tell the differece

but to a computer

it goes
Red 255 DOES NOT EQUAL Red 254

this must be a change then make a note

Hello K0D

Indeed thanks for responding to me and explaining all these informations.

But you have posted at the sime time I was editing with a new version of Mystery Resolved image.

So, could you test this one.

Bye

new edit : after your explanations, I think you will find about 12 changes!
I would never have understood before that!

man i do not know how your doing it, but you are breaking my program somehow LOL

I will look into your picture and make the necessary changes

now

if you create another picture

send me the original first before you make any changes this way I can give it back to you in the proper format, then all you have to do is tweak the bottom by adding changes to it

man, what are you doing editting this is gonna take me weeks, what program are you using to do this

I cant understand why your bottom line has so much distortion

here is how it looks when i lower the color quality and the changes that i have made

Hello K0D

Your 2.bmp image is so ugly that I must do something!
The most surprising facts are those red pixels scattered on the bottom image, under Manupil!
So, I'm going to explain how I've done it.

Remember : I would NEVER have done it that way, if you have before explained you must test it with computer (with your rule of 5 pixels I've just understood) and it will be used for a computer game.
In fact, I did it with the easiest and funniest way for me at this time.

new edit : I've just read again all your posts since the beginning of the OT topic; once you explained me the complete purpose, I found it easy to understand. but before that, it wasn't easy at all, at least for me.

Firstly : tools
I've used Photoshop 6.0 for Mac OS 9.04,
under .psd (= photoshop) mode, because under .bmp mode I was not getting a transparent ground, but a white ground (not very big deal, but less simple).
Then, when the image Top+Bottom was done in 350 pixels/pouce, I registered it under .bmp mode, into 96 pixels/pouce.
Then I used DropZip (Mac OS) to compress file.
Perhaps difficulties from DropZip??

Secondly : making Top, under .psd mode
1) Found the ground image in "Home of Shining Force III- Scenario 3- Final Chapter- event2".
Cut it and registered it into 350 pixels/pouce, 6cm x 6cm. (under .psd mode, of course)
2) Found Manupil's image in SFC collectors' cards, removed the "red curtain" ground, got a transparent one;
and registered Manupil into 100 pixels/pouce, 20cm x 20cm.
3) Found Rollie's image in SFC collectors' cards, removed the "grey wall" ground, got a transparent ground, added 3 hoofs (were hidden behind the name) from "Home of Shining Force III- Scenario3- Heroes", colored these hoofs;
and registered Rollie into 100 pixels/pouce, 20cm x 20cm.
4) Finally added Rollie's and Manupil's images (100 pixels/pouce) into the ground image (350 pixels/pouce)
=> Top.psd image

Thirdly : making Bottom, under .psd mode
1) Used the ground image in 350 pixels/pouce, 6cm x 6cm.
Made 1 change on it.
2) Used Manupil's image in 100 pixels/pouce, 20cm x 20cm.
Made 7 changes on it (with your rule of 5 pixels, maybe 9 or 10)
3) Used Rollie's image in 100 pixels/pouce, 20cm x 20cm.
Made 2 changes on it.
4) Finally added Rollie's and Manupil's modified images (100 pixels/pouce) into the modified ground image (350 pixels/pouce)
-- first time, only for the eyes
-- last time, for exact pixel position (used 1600 %). Made many verifications.
=> Bottom.psd image

Fourthly : making Top+Bottom, under .psd mode
1) Used the Top image (350 pixels/pouce); multiplied by 2 the height of the work area.
2) Added the Bottom image, just under the Top Image.
-- first time, only for the eyes
-- last time, for exact pixel position (used 1600 %). Made many verifications.
3) Registered it into 350 pixels/pouce
=> Top+Bottom.psd image

Fifthly : making Top+Bottom, under .bmp mode
1) Registered the Top+Bottom.psd image under .bmp mode
2) then registered it into 96 pixels/pouce (192pixels x 384pixels)
=> Top+Bottom.bmp image (236 ko)

Sixthly : compressing Top+Bottom, under .zip mode
As the .bmp image could not be an attached file, I used DropZip to compress it .
Finally I sent it as an attached file.

Now I know I must do the Top image, then modify this Top image DIRECTLY in order to get the Bottom image.

I think it would be better if I send you 2 separated images : Top.bmp and Bottom.bmp; and you'll paste them as you want!

I think also it would be better if you send me several good screenshots!

Bye

OOOOOOHHHH ok I know your problem

see what you do is create image in a larger plane, place changes, then shrink

THIS IS BAD

because the algorithm fecks up the picture badly

what you HAVE to do

take the original

shrink it down to 192x192

THEN copy it and place on the bottom

thus you have 2 exact images on the screen

otherwise you will get the garble I shown you when I lower the quality

sorry for being such a problem, but hey you are learning something new right

and your photoshop skills have increased

Hello K0D

On the one hand,
you're right.

that's certainly the reason why it didn't work.
Did you also test possible bad effects of DropZip?
Next time, I shall send you my .bmp image directly without zip. maybe it will make a good difference.

On the other hand,
it looks like you don't really pay attention to others' point of view.

I think you might have short-sightedness! (with eye-glasses or lenses) joke? you see!

OOOOOOHHHH ok I know your problem
It's not mine, it's yours( = K0D's one), or rather THE problem

THIS IS BAD
because the algorithm fecks up the picture badly
It's not the algorithm, it's K0D's algorithm, created by you for YOUR game.

but hey you are learning something new right
and your photoshop skills have increased
That's right : I've learned several things.
And YOU, did you learn something and did you increase your computer skills?
Because I do think your program do need to be better, in order to accept a wider scale(range) of photoshop images.
And I think I helped you quite a lot : by making so that you ask yourself questions about your programm.
Mistake is a necessary way (passage, bridge?) when one is programming. (I do know)

So I do it again, with your advice.

Friendly, Bye

it is NOT my algorithm chief, and now i am getting a little sick of your attitude so now I am not even going to use your work, you can go screw yourself.

I can't help if YOU can not understand that there is a difference between how a human looks at an image and how a computer does.

There are pixel by pixel changes that are unneccessary, and if you concentrate on it you can notice the difference in color

nobody else has had problems with my program or the way this thing has to be done except you, you are the only one that has broken it due to YOUR shortsited ness by not sticking to the requirements

you have to learn that the computer can only do so much, and has a limit in what it can do at any given time

the nintendo DS is even slower, and has less resources as it's disposal then a PC, so you need to help it out any way you can.

You know if you ever want to get a decent job you will need to learn how to follow directions, and not wander on your own far enough to get you into trouble

anymore posts with your insolence or garbage shall be deleted, so if you want to waste your time, pushing that delete button takes less then a second for me
