For the emulator, SSF is your best choice. I would give you a link but the author's site returns a 404 error now. The patcher is included with the patch, you'll only need a program like Daemon Tools to mount your iso files (I use original CDs for that now).

http://sf3trans.shiningforcecentral.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for the patch and http://sf3transftp.shiningforcecentral.com/Emulation/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for SSF (I think it's the latest version on there) and Daemon Tools.
I despise berzerk attitude.

I recently got myself set up for playing the patched games, and the downloads on the Transaltion site worked for me (I later found I'd already downloaded that version of SSF though).

I'm not sure if the latest version of SSF is provided - it may be the latest version that's known to work with the patch (still pretty much works a treat though).

As for Daemon Tools - note that the version provided is from Win XP era. Aparently it's still fine to use, though you may get a compatibility warning if running Windows 7 or later (see my thread here for more info - http://forums.shiningforcecentral.com/v ... 34&t=25974" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

The two best versions of SSF in my experience are 012 beta R2 and 009 alpha R4.

Okay, Daemon tools is happy to just loop on my system asking every time that I restart.

And after setting up the basic config for SSF I get an error with a load of question marks, and then that crashes

Im a very sad panda :(
