Yes, unfortunately there isn't an English source with correct romanisations. :( Next to Hedoba/Hedva in the artbook David's name is romanised as "Davidi", and the official collectible cards have different romanisations to the artbook ones. They both seem to have been translated by people who weren't part of the game team. It would be great if there actually was an accurate source for all the names, I think it would have made life a lot easier for the translation team!

I nominate you to be the official source.

Looks like Hedva won by a pretty good margin.

It will be there in V15!

Thanks for voting everyone.

The story just got a bit cooler.

I contacted Hedva, the real Hedva, to see if she was aware of our David and Hedva and she was not.

I sent her the portraits and the artbook pages, but I'd like to do something more if possible.

Would anyone with decent capture software in place be willing to capture some of David and Hedva's story parts and a couple of battle scenes? I could get the vid edited, but that would be much appreciated as well.

It shouldn't really be much to capture and I have save files to share if needed.

Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing you want it for the in-game capture, and not just the dialogue itself? Otherwise, there's always the written out dialogue with portraits hosted on SFC.

That's really interesting that you reached out to Hedva about the game. I'm suprised she didn't know about it because you would think she would have had to sign off on something since they used her likeness.

Have you attempted to reach out to David? I couldn't really find a lot of information about him on the internet though.

David has long passed on.

They wouldn't have offiically used their likenesses because that would cost money. Much easier and cheaper to create a character inspired by real people (if there is a difference).

It was, however mentioned in the artbook I believe. That is where all this came from.

Sorry to hear about David.

On a more positive note, I found someone that made lets play videos on youtube for all three scenarios of shining force III

Yes, those have been up for a very long time. Not really indicative of the current quality of the patch.
