That was the first thing I made sure I read was how to become part of SFC:RPG. So that is why I am always posting and seeing what everyone is talking about always good to try and become part of this awesome website.

I tried to play the rpg when I had like 56 posts, but it said I couldn't play since I hadn't been active in a while... hopefully that will change in a couple of days!

will any game developers re-vamp all the shining force series? if any developers are out there and are reading this message, I say that there is a great need for the SF series to be re-born.

Sega owns the rights (and is an extremely over-protective asshat about unauthorized remakes), and the extended series over in Japan is pretty popular as it stands.

Wouldn't you count Shining Wisdom and Shining Soul as part of the extended series? I never really played them so I don't know if they are canon or not.

Yes, there's also Shining Wisdom, Shining Soul, and Shining Soul II, and Shining Force: Return of the Dark Dragon is considered by most to be a sub-par retelling of the first Force game, though the translation is more faithful than the original's official translation, in many parts.

Is Shining Wisdom part of the extended series? I thought that was still Camelot canon along with the other Saturn games, or is there something about it that makes it non-canon?

SW's definitely canon with its references to SF2, even though the gameplay is different from the rest and it's the main reason it stands out.
