Did anyone else prefer the "Mumbling" voices?

I mean the voice actors in this game were cool, but after playing SF 1 and 2 alot i prefer the classic "Mumbling/R2-D2" type voices from the original game. How about you?

Tough question. I've never minded the "mumbling" voices, especially since in most cases, the hardware couldn't have handled real voices. Shining Wisdom, Shining the Holy Ark, and Shining Force CD are the only games that could have had voice acting but didn't.

That said, I certainly wouldn't call the mumbling voices preferable to decent voice acting. So really, it depends on the game. I would have preferred that Shining Force III didn't have voice acting, whereas Shining Force Feather would have definitely lost something if they had just used the mumbling voices. And I can hardly say whether Shining Force CD would have been better off with real voice acting without having heard any of the recorded acting that would have been used.
