From my experience anyway :D
Domingo is good but same as vanilla, over powered in mid game but weak in end game.

I like air troops. I tried to use Amon, but attack is so low. Balbaroy is better than amon, but he is the weakest and least useful in my current party now (and the next one to be put in HQ). Kokichi with a Spear is surprisinly good, high hp, good attack, low defense, I intend to use him until the end. Domingo is very good, with a good defense. Sad he cant equip the shield ring. Maybe in next version you can give Amon and Balbaroy an attack boost.

I gave both of them attack boosts compared to vanilla.
Does Balbaroy have the worst attack in your party (besides mages and healers)?
And which weapon is he using?


EDIT: and when do you intend to promote your force?

Besides mages and healers (domingo included) he has the worst attack, maybe im unlucky with level ups, he is using the long sword (espada longa).
I just finished the first ship battle, it was very chalenging. Let me ask you, the conch spawns are infinity? I dont know if I win because i killed everyone in the screen or all the possible spawns. A lot of level ups in this battle (i lost once because a double attacko n max), The party is around level 16 - 17. I will promote at 20 because the comments of Sacred.
I replaced Balbaroy with Earnest, he is very good.

Hm... Balbaroy's attack should not be much behind of Max's. Maybe they got different weapons? And who got the Power Ring?
Earnest is a nice add though. :thumbsup:

Not infinite the respawns.
I can't recall exactly, but should be something between 3 and 5.

You will probably reach level 20 in the second ship battle. And have a promoted force for chapter 6.
It's good timing, as 'promoted weapons' come by.

Yes, Max has a better sword than balbaroy, and max is with power ring too.
I finished the second ship battle, party is around lv 18-19. I lost 3 times in the necromancer battle, until get a proper strategy working. I went with a assassination flying squad to kill the necromancer, he desouled domingo, but kokichi took care of him.
My party:

Max - He is useful now.
Gong - The most powerful of my team, probably will be the first to reach lv 20
Gort - great tank, he has the quick ring.
Tao - devastating power with the new blaze 3. She has the shield ring.
Domingo - huge defense and just learned his forth spell, it was a surprise
Arthur - least useful of the party, usually finish enemies with his spear or magic
Guntz - I gave him the turbo ring, he has the lowest level, i think hes around 16
Earnest - great attack
Kokichi - Im loving to use kokichi.
Lowe - just a backup for max not get killed.
Diane - Very good
Zappa - Very powerful

Nice!

As you'll notice, enemies give less experience by the start of chapter 6. If you are not grinding, I suggest you promote them right now. :thumbsup:

I just finished kane battle. I promoted all my forces in the start of this chapter. The battle before dragonia was very interesting and chalenging, with all the golens surprising you. It was very good to "grind" the promoted characters. I like your mod because that battle and the other 2 ship battle you can feel you are grinding while not using egress, because of the constant respawns. Kane battle was not too hard. I just found 2 chests in kane battle, where is the other?
Lyle is in the force in the place of arthur and I dropped diane from the force and have Bleu to replace her.
Guntz is a killing machine now, with the halberd. Kokichi is doing 1 damage because its seens he cant equip lances. Max is still somewhat fragile.

Kokichi can't equip lances but he can equip the halberd.
If you will stick with him, give a chrome lance to Guntz and be happy! :)

The bosses seems to be not that difficult in this mod. At least that's what most people keeps saying.
I'll try to empower them a bit in a future version.

Elliot was chalenging enough to me. Marionette is still a monster. Laser Eye was difficult.
Balbazack needs a little more defense and a mage companion.
Kane needs more defense.
Im fighting mishaela now.
That halberd will be in kokichi hand in a minute. :)

Mishaela was very chalenging, I like that battle very much.
I just beat Chaos, a well designed battle too. Im in ramladu battle
My final force: Max, Gong, Torasu, Domingo, Hanzou, Musashi, Zappa, Adam, Guntz, Kokichi, Bleu and Lyle.
Guntz has the turbo ring, Musashi the turbo pepper.

Yes he kept, but with his range thats no big problem.
The three characters you mentioned are doing good.
My best characters are Guntz, Zappa and Domingo. But no characters are far from other, so I think the game is really balanced. Now im only have trouble with Bleu, he seens weak.

A proper leveled Bleu can be anything but weak! :)

Bleu has badass attack sprites when he has evolved. But I agree with you, he is 100% useless.

I lost 387 times in ramladu battle, every time because the robot rush, but it was funny. Hanzou is great! And lyle is owning everybody with his new weapon.

I don't think i lost that much when i tried a 4 man play through on Doomblade's.

Ramladu battle is easy in this version no?

Only if you can survive the robot rush.
That battle seemed impossible to me playing no-grinding.
I had to redo it several times and couldn't pass until I got two people learning Bolt 2.
