i'd be happy with a 2.5D game like the modern Street Fighter games where the characters still move on a 2D plain but the backgrounds and characters are in 3D.

Either one of those would be pretty sweet. It is fairly impressive that Sega is sitting on a massive back catalogue of games that would sell and aren't using.

I understand they do 'ight with just catering to the local market but for fucks sake I'm pretty sure someone needs to outright buy the brand to actually make use of Sega as a company on the global market, and that's probably too much money for just about anyone save Microsoft who they refused (wisely) not to sell to. Twice if I'm not mistaken.

I'd go with SF3, Shenmue series, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Dynamite Headdy, Skyrim, Sega Rally, Streets of Rage 3, Guardian Heroes, Gauntlet, Nights into dreams and Pro Evo soccer. I'm sure there''s a couple of other classics I've forgotten too. Kinda makes me wanna dig out my old consoles!

Still as pleasant as always I see

On the battlefield, when everything is chaos/ you have nothing but the way you feel, your strategy and a sword/ just think of the life you'll have together after the war

Oh my goodness.

I'll just give a top 5 for now,

1. World Of Warcraft
2. Stardew Valley
3. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
4. Borderlands
5. Shining force: resurrection of dark dragon

I'd add more and go into detail but it's almost 2:30 AM and I have to work later. So i'll come back and edit this later.
Truth is I haven't played a shining game since Ressurection of dark dragon years and years ago.

Off the top of my head (I'm sure there are others):

NES:
Marble Madness - short game, but so much fun. The challenge of trying to improve your time, figuring out the best paths to run, and what to do to maximize your points. Definitely the NES game I've put the most time into (I once topped the world record high score, according to twin galaxies, but didn't record the run).

Snake Rattle n Roll - great platformer. The controls are difficult to learn, but once you do they're awesome and responsive. The difficulty spike in this game is unreal, but not unfair.

Contra - I don't think I need to explain this one.

Little Samson - Such a fun game. Having a team you needed to switch between during the levels gives great opportunity to try different strategies. The graphics are great, as is the soundtrack. This is one that hooked me from the first time I played it.

SNES:
Top Gear - To date, this is still my favorite racing game on any system. The controls are tight, the tracks have a good variety, and holy hell does the soundtrack rule.

Genesis:
Shining Force - So amazing. Yeah, I could go on and on, but you all know this game and why it rules.

Saturn:
Shining Force 3 (all scenarios) - I didn't want to believe there was a Shining Force game better than the original, and then I played part 3. The best, period.

PS1:
FF Tactics - Great tactical RPG. I spent a huge chunk of time grinding and unlocking classes. Story was good and engaging, the characters were memorable.

Suikoden 1 and 2: The few things I didn't like in the original (forced party members, dull army battles) were fixed in part 2. My favorite non-Shining RPG series.

PS2:
Suikoden 3 and 5: See above. 4 kinda blew.

360:
South Park: The Stick of Truth: Great RPG wrapped in South Park humor.

Oh goodness, this is a hard one to keep short. Haha!

Shining Force I - This one goes without saying in my circle. This is the game that started it all. Got me on the road to being a gamer, got me into RPGs, got me into Fantasy in general. My art, my writing, and my character designs were all inspired by this game. It's also responsible for me meeting one of my best friends of all time. :D So much nostalgia. Then I found you guys and realized there is a whole crap ton of other Shining games and you crazies got me into wanting to work with game designs and all sorts of fun stuff.

The World Ends With You - This game. Holy wow the feels. This one hit me right in all of them and I loved it. The characters are great, the art style is awesome, and that battle system is a challenge, but so much fun when you get the hang of it. Playing it on the 3DS is a bit awkward because the system is heavier and the buttons are positioned slightly different than the DS.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep (HD Final Mix) - Another feelsy game that I love to pieces. I love being able to play different characters with different play styles and getting to get their parts of the story. I felt like as far as the hand held Kingdom Hearts titles go this one was by far the most enjoyable with a good combat system. I prefer the HD re-release because it's the Final Mix version and the way they did Aqua's Epilogue was way better. Even though that boss fight was the hardest thing I've ever had to play in my life. x.X

Birth by Sleep 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage - Absolutely gorgeous. Kingdom Hearts in the Unreal Engine 4? Yes please! Short, beautiful, and heart wrenching. As Aqua is one of my favorite KH characters, I enjoyed playing it. The battle system and the challenge ratings for the fights were right up my alley. And it explained a few things that pissed me off about characters like Mickey and Yen Sid after playing BBS.

Forbidden Series IX - I felt like it was one of the last RPGs of it's kind. The graphics and design are gorgeous and I loved the story and characters. Freya Crescent (my hooskie is named after her) is best character. I LOVE the sound track to this game.

Forbidden Series XI - Suffice it to say another big influence in my life and met a lot of amazing friends because of this game. Game system is vastly different from WoW and I always ran into the friendliest players. Extremely memorable characters and story lines and the way they ended the main story updates was a spectacular send off. Treasures of Aht Urhgan, Wings of the Goddess, and Rhapsodies of Vana'diel are my favorite parts of the game.

BioShock: Infinite - First time I saw this game I watched my hubs play it. I'm not a huge FPS fan, but I was hooked on the story from the beginning. Favorite memory for this game was when my hubs was showing it to his bro and sis-in-law and ripped a guy's face off with the sky hook. Freaked my sis-in-law out. Then she ended up buying the game and playing herself and that's her favorite way to kill people. Rofl Then I played it for myself and holy wow. That story. And the twist at the end. X3 Looooved it. Plus Troy Baker is my favorite voice actor ever.

Diablo II - I could play this game all day and not get sick of it. So much fun to play as the casting classes and the assassin. One of the first computer games I ever really played. My dad got me into it and he loved showing me different stuff about it.

Warcraft II - Another game my dad got me into. I don't often play this type of game, but I loved the strategy involved and having to build up your armies and stuff to play it. I need to find me another copy of it so I can play it again.

Sonic 2 - One of my first video games period. I'm not a massive Sonic fan, but I enjoyed playing this game. Especially hooking it into the Sonic & Knuckles game and playing as Knuckles. I'm no good at the other games in this series, but it's a fun pass time to play lose a man, pass a level with the hubs. I can also typically get all 7 Chaos Emeralds before the end of Chemical Plant on the original Sega Genesis version. :D

I've probably forgotten a few, but this is long enough so I'll shut up now.
