How to see the data of a game

Postby sulfuroxp » Fri Jan 06 2017 1:59am

I need some help to advance in my faq of SF Feather, and in the future for other Shining games

I want to see the text in the game, I got all the files but I don't know how to open them to translate
I have these files
.bin
.pac
.mods (DS movies I think)
.ahx
.adx

Even if you found them, you'd need to decode them. That's not easy.

One way is to find the font files, and then write a script to take the encoded text and spit out an image with the characters. You would then have to transcribe the images into actual text that you can put into an FAQ, because there might not be an algorithmic way to decode the encoded text into Unicode.

I think that your best bet would be to reach out to Stor. Check out this post by him on GBAtemp.
