SF3 Connections?

Incorporating Scenarios 1, 2, 3 and the Premium Disc, all in one handy board!

SF3 Connections?

Postby Hawksaber » Tue Sep 04 2018 11:41pm

I’m a long time fan of Shining Force 1, 2, and all Gaidens. I’m only now at age 29 playing through Shining Force III: Scenario 1, by virtue of finally buying a memory pack.

I don’t want any spoilers, but do I have any story connections to look forward to in this game, even if minor?

You wont find any story connections.
there is the premium disc bonus battle and thats all.
You can find out of the game info about the continent and location, but dont remember how much is speculation.

Camelot really wanted to start a fresh new story with sf3 and holy ark.
I learned english playing Shining Force 2!

But be sure to use the translation patch, even on Sc1!

Although Holy Ark did have one or two very, very minor references, but those seemed only relevant for the sake of using obscure and pointless information to be like, "Yes, this takes place in the same world."

The Darksol battle you're remembering is only part of the Premium Disc. It's not actually part of the story. The Premium Disc battles are just like the Bonus, post-game battles in Shining Force 2 and CD.

WARNING: SPOILER!

Is it therefore conceivable that the places in the different SF games are from the same heaven but are different worlds?

ah yes that's right. I would not say that is subtle or just suggestive but pretty blatant.

Personally, I would classify it as subtle because, if I recall, it's brought up by an NPC you don't have to talk to, so it's something one could completely overlook.
