With retro bit's new deal with Sega there is a distinct possibility Sega will ride the retro console wave and release a Saturn mini.

I'm guessing any such console would only come packaged with the US/European version over here. But if the emulator is as easy to crack as the NES or SNES versions we'd have a relatively painless way to expand the scope of who can get the games play these games relatively painlessly and cheaply in the way they were supposed to be.

There is still no near perfect PC emulator for sega saturn. (People may disagree here, but from a commerical stand point, it is really not viable). The hardware js just too complex and it requires a lot of corners being cut. On top of that, the games could be up to 700MB, meaning you are going to need a lot of storage space. To put it in perspective, the NES mini holds 512mb, meaning you would need 20x the storage to hold 20 games. So to make a mini version of saturn, they would have to pick 20 titles that work well with the corners being cut, and then place in 16GB of flash memory to be able to hold all of the information. This is probably going to retail $100 minimum for a product not many people even know existed.

This is probably the more likely option:
http://polymega.com/

They have modules for each system, so more hardware based. 50/50 hybrid by their claim.

Check the FAQ. It appears they intend to support the Saturn at some point.

Cool they are offering a sega cd module out of the gate.

Does anyone knows the release date of the retro-bit sega controllers? I've searched the internet and i found nothing. The CES 2018 where retro-bit displayed the controllers happened in January.
