Jumesyn Mistakes

Postby Special T » Sat Jun 08 2013 3:45am

Does anyone have a list of mistakes found on the Jumesyn website?

http://www.celestialdamnation.com/jumes ... index.html

I'm converting the website to view offline (by compiling a CHM file) in case it ever goes down and figured I would fix any mistakes in the process. So far everything is ready I just wanted to make last minute fixes and this is what I changed so far:

Accessories:
Chaos Ring Dark resist -30 instead of +30

Elemental Data
Pen Dynamic -> Fire
Pressure Bomb -> Earth
Geo Spark -> Earth

Weapons
Chaos Blade A instead of C
Varion Blade A instead of C
Force Blade A instead of C

Does anyone know of anything else listed incorrectly? Is there any mistakes in the walkthrough itself?

Update: 6/25/2013
Battle Axe - Power 15 / ATK C / Max 24 (it was already correct but other sites have it wrong)
Evil Axe - Power 30 / ATK A / Max 45
Dragon Axe - Power 26 / ATK A / Max 41
Gaia Axe - Power 25 / ATK A / Max 40

Sell Price is 75% purchase price:
Giant Axe sells for 10500
Dragon Axe sells for 11250
Gaia Axe sells for 9750
Evil Axe sells for 12750
Apollo Axe sells for 14250

Update: 7/3/2013
Gravity Anchor - Gestalt also Confuses
Plasma Anchor: Soul Grapple does not steal HP.
Power Ankh - found in the deals section of Sc 3
Mystery Ankh - found in the deals section of Sc 3

Update: 7/7/2013
Aura Knuckle said Ice +20 - fixed it to Light +20

I don't have a complete list, but I can contribute to this topic.

OK, let's start with the weapon list:

Not a mistake, but the "Heavy Anchor", available in Scen. 1, is missing. Here are its properties:
Value = 3000, Range = 1-2, Power = 14, no property, ATK UP = C, no Magic UP, no Notes

Giant Axe Value = 14000
Dragon Axe Value = 15000, Power = 26
Gaia Axe Value = 13000, Power = 25
Evil Axe Value = 17000, Power = 30
All Gloves except the Leather Glove have Counter +5
Brave Halberd Regen: 2 HP a turn
Mist Knuckle, Wire Knuckle and Aura Knuckle Critical +5
Aura Knuckle has Light resist instead of Ice Resist
Darkside Sword has Dark resist instead of Light Resist
Silk Whip has no Demon Property

Now to the Specials Data:

Gestalt also has Confuse Effect
Full Moon Blade has the Illusion Effect
Earthquake also causes Instant Kill Effect
Has Plasma Shell really Illusion Effect? I had at least 2 cases, where it didn't cause this effect...

There are also mistakes in the walkthrough, but I will add them later since I'm out of time at the Moment. ;)

Bear in mind that the JuMeSyn guides were put together about 10 years ago, WAY before a lot of the fancy inside knowledge gained from hacking the game was started, so it's fair to say that some of the information would have become redundant by now.

I think it's also been confirmed and acknowledged that some of the guides they were working from weren't 100% accurate either.

Thanks for the help so far Lord Kane, if you have more stuff please feel free to post it :-)

It was written a long time ago and as far as I know it's the most comprehensive source of SFIII knowledge around so I figured I would preserve it and make it available for others to use as well.

Since I was doing that, I figured I would update it and correct any mistakes in the process, so I'll update any mistakes that people post here and once done I'll make it available for download if anyone else wants a copy.

Plasma Shell only has the Illusion effect in Scenario 3 and the Premium Disc. In Sc2 it is plain damage.

Cyclops' skill progression with claws goes Dragon Fang -> Air Fang -> Dragon Rush, with Change Dragon available only on the Dragonman Claw. Jumesyn (and the save editor) lists it as Dragon Fang -> Dragon Rush -> Change Dragon.

Don't believe all you can read on the internet. Jumesyn seems to be a serious work from a not so serious man.

I'm 80% sure that the Medical Herb in Toby's home listed in the scn1 walkthrough isn't there. Think I might have noticed another couple of item discrepancies, but maybe I wasn't being as thorough as I thought.

OK, let's go on with some mistakes/incompletions I found in the guides.

Scenario 2:

Chapter 1:
In the Saraband Central District you cannot only find a Medical Herb in the house next to the trading Center, you can also find 10 Gold coins in a shelf there. If Garosh lives you can also get a Silver Ring in the Republic District.

Chapter 2:
Weapon Shop in Rhineside Village: Broad Sword Price is 750.
Battle #9 is in "Rhineside North Plains" not "South Plains".

Chapter 3:
Stump Village Weapon Shop: "Steel Knife 250" instead of "Bronze Knife 50", Broad Sword Price is 750, "Manji Shuriken 1200" instead of "Cross Shuriken 300".
Battle #11 - 13: All Hunter Elfs equip Steel Arrows instead of Wooden Arrows.
Barrand Weapon Shop: Broad Sword Price is 750, no Small Wand is sold, "Manji Shuriken 1200" instead of "Cross Shuriken 300", "Silver Wing 3000" instead of "Metal Wing 400".

Chapter 4:
Elbesem Village: Dark Matter is hidden in the west side of the tree, not in east side, a Small Mithril is hidden in a box on top of the watchtower, not in a barrel, a Large Mithril is hidden in a box behind the bar, not in a barrel.
Battle #16: The villager carrying the "Robby Eye" does not need to be saved in order to get Robby afterwards. If he gets killed in battle, you can search the battlefield afterwards to get the eye.
Battle #18: All Rainbloods have 0 MP. The Rainbloods will attack you even if you don't attack them first.
Seagate Weapon Shop: Brass Knuckle Price is 1100.
Battle #20: Arrawnt has the Special "Photon Rage".

Chapter 5:
Saraband Item Shop: Swift Boots Price is 3000.
Saraband Weapon Shop: Brass Knuckle Price is 1100.
I'm quite convinced, that there is now Quality difference of the Saraband smithy to the Storich smithy, at least in Saraband you can also get all possible rings, gloves, Shells, knives and maces...
Saraband Imperial District: you can get a Bronze Knive if you talk to a grandmother in a house in the North after Medions army is captured.
Battle #22: The High Priest is missing.
The Mithril Quarrel and the 800 Gold coins listed after Battle #22 can already obtained before Battle #22.
Airo Village: There is no chicken pen, but a pigeon pen. ;)

Chapter 6:
Swampland Weapon Shop: "Great Sword 10000" instead of "Bastard Sword 3800"
Battle #25:Queen Worm has Luck = 5, Speed = 4 and "Poison Attack" and "Acid Breath" as Specials instead of "Thunder Shock". Harpy has MP = 0 (also Battle # 26).
Storich Weapon Shop: Wire Knuckle Price is 13000.
Storich hidden items: there is one more Large Mithril in a box in the cargo storeroom as well as a dark matter. You can find 1000 Gold coins in a shelf in the reception room and further 1000 Gold coins in a shelf in the room next to Domaric's room.

Thief maps:
Thief Map #3: Map is turned around by 180°.
Thief Map #4: Small Mithril in a Barrel is missing.

To be continued with Scenario 3... ;)

In the Sc1 guide, it says the first smithy in Flagard will not craft the best weapons. This is untrue, as i was able to craft any weapon/accesory i wanted. I also do not believe in the 'arm-swings' theory. I think it randomly generates a weapon when you purchase. (Not when you collect).
