Character Level Up Stats

Post by Cupwalkerz »

Anyone know what some of the stat points are or what they do like,
ATK, DEF, INT, MGR, AGL, MOV
I know the obvious ones but things like MOV, AGL and MGR, I have completely no idea about what it does. I never really played much RPG games but i'm sure that i've never seen those terms. Is there already a topic on this, if so could anyone provide a link please '~' Thanks

That is all right.

Notes on INT and AGI

intelligence will increase spell potency, possibly elemental attack power but I haven't confirmed it.

as for AGI, in this game it helps determine turn order (I have a suspicion FC also has something to do with it...) AND as far as I can tell makes the red zone in the attack bar larger, or helps do that, because I think it takes into account the enemy agility as well and gives you a bar that is representative of how easy/hard it would be for that character (with that AGI) to hit that monster (with that AGI).

no, only Spell power (and Heal power)

yes about FC, but not about the bar
each class has its bar

Thanks, been wondering about what those were for quite a while now been adding those point mainly to ATT and sometimes DEF. For some reason, my Jin is weaker than bail in ATK and especially DEF, I'm thinking that I messed up in the character development? What stats does your characters have?
BTW :eyebrow: my Jin is ATK 65, DEF 28, INT 13, MGR 15, AGL 21, MOV 12 and its now lvl 10
Bail is ATK 67, DEF 36, INT 12, MGR 13, AGL 17, MOV 15
Miriam is ATK 54, DEF 21, INT 33, MGR 23, AGL 28, MOV 12... is it bad?

And thanks for the info :)

If it is class, then not just class. The bar varies, depending on the enemy most likely. But unless you tell me you translated it out of the game, I'll hold on to my theory a little longer. Yours is also a working theory mind you, but it's still missing an element : the variable. Because classes don't vary.

I was asking for a source. Since you don't give me one, I'll assume it just comes from your experience with the game.

So consider this : the weapon types affect AGL. I assume you noticed a change in their attack bar after upgrading a weapon, but it may not necessarily be tied to the weapon, it might be to a stat affected by the new weapon.

Also, when I say varies, I recall the attack bar changing mid-battle. I have a terrible memory at times, so I need to recheck my videos. But if I remember correctly, it did happen. So even if it is the weapon type, there is a variable proper to the battle, because the weapon type did not change midway. Now, if I remember corretly, it happened against a boss. I want to say the first Honker fight (it's what I call him. um, that dude that comes back later with a friend who's a mythological creature based off a cretan king. Trying to be vague to avoid spoilers again...) but it could be another boss. Point is, it happened against a boss. That's how I got my idea. Bosses tend to have significantly higher stats than their underlings, and if I recall in Honker's case that's visible in AGL. I was attributing the sudden change to less favorable comparison between 2 stats. If the bar takes into account stats then bosses are automatically harder to hit since their stats are higher. I thought of AGL because of the characters that constantly have the easier bar : the high AGL ones.

So that's my full reasoning. How do you come to your conclusion?

Ah now that's another working theory I suppose. I imagine you're still going for class as a factor though, right? Any reasoning behind it, or random hypothesis?

Regardless, it will take more serious testing to figure out exactly.

despite the fact that you can attack one / two or three people depending on the Class of your weapon, I never really thought about the leveling stats. If you found something just tell me

Are you talking to me or to him?

For the testing I haven't gotten around to do, I was intending to test by starting anew (or from a very early save state) and give only agility to Goldilocks. Then in a much later battle, I can compare his timing bar with my LP Goldilocks, who received almost exclusively attack, and see if there's a difference. Essentially same levels, same weapon specialisation, just waaay more attack. If there's a difference it should settle it.

Well I actually got around to do my test. Posted the result in the guide thread, thought it'd be more relevant there than in level up stats.
