Shining Tears: 1-10 rating

I would like to know what everyone thinks of this game on a 1-10 scale rating, i want to know if it's worth the buy.

Without the Blanc Neige and T2 biasness then a 7/10. I can say if you're patient and is able to withstand loading times you will enjoy this.

If I am to put my BLanc Neige and T2 love into this then 9/10. If no slowdown or such...a perfect 10!!

Hmm.. I give it an 8/10, I play with my friend on 2 player alot so we've gotten by all the meaningless talking at the beginning of the game and I've finally gotten used to all the loading screens (don't know how but I got by it >_<) So yeah, its a pretty good game.

Plot twists were quite apparent. You could guess what was going to happen next. There were a few unexpected things, and then the slowdown issues...

The music was great, though.

im giving it a 5.5 or 6 out of ten. sorry but this game compared to the rest of the series just sucks...ill give u credit that the main characters artwork looks pretty cool, its so unshiny. idk i guess the game is alright but to be honest i never completed the game cause it lost appeal after 5 hours

I would have to say 8 out of 10. I wish that they would have made it so that there was character voices all the time and not when you chose them for battle. Besides that the battle system was fine, graphics were ok, and the chatacters were really good also. Also the fact that you can play with a friend is even more pluses I would get it.

Maybe a 7. It's the sort of game that can be a lot of fun if you're into the style and presentation, which is rather simple. There's some replayability. Truth be told, I think the only thing that really hampers Shining Tears is the loading times, otherwise I enjoyed it for the most part.

But it's not for everyone. It's fairly simplistic gameplay and definitely repetitive after awhile. I certainly enjoyed what I played of it though, at least for the most part.

The more I played it, the more I wished it was a tactical style game. But it did add some innovation to the regular hack and slash RPG types.
I only played because I liked the characters.

If this is to be released for the DC I bet it will be a grand game but I don't know how the controls will be allocated though.

I'd give it a solid 6. Not like the original series, but in its own right, it stands its own. I haven't beaten it yet, because I recently bought Shining Force CD. hehe

Most of the plot twists were quite predictable, but the gameplay was kinda fun, although I didn't really enjoy the longer levels too much. I'd prefer it so that each level wouldn't take more than 15 minutes. (The elf forest really annoyed me in this respect.)

Simple and easy to pick up gameplay
Interesting smithing setup on weapons and armor
Being able to redo levels using two characters, and one of them not have to be the hero.
Great soundtrack
Nice variety of enemies

Partner AI is total and complete shit
The fact that if I happen to die every piece of gold I may have picked up during that stage is gone, caput, lost forever. However magically all the gold and crap I was carrying with me into it is still there. So they took the time to pick through my bag of junk and figure out what I had when I went in and what I had found after I left and leave it behind? What the feck?
There seems to be a void in the characters to choose from that I can not put my fingers on. Like some element that has always be in past Shining games that for some reason when I play Shining Tears that I just don't get? What is it? Oh! The hero lacks any form of a real back bone unless he ends up with the "evil ring".


Yeah, 7.3 out of 10.

The game has the best art next to ROFFDD however it plays more like Shining soul I give it a 7/10.

I give it a 7. The other shining games are more like 9-10, so it's not as good. Though it's still fun to play.

Pros:
The two rings, an action rpg where you play two characters at the same time.
The blacksmith, make your own weapons. Very well done.
The music, some tunes are really good.
The Character design, yes I like Tony's style!
Developers did NOT mix up the old shining stories, like the bad Sf remake.

Cons:
Controls over your partner could have been better.
Missions are very alike. Repititive, even for a RPG.
When in battle, characters is small, graphics could have been better.
LOADING!!! Even in a magical attack (Ryunas Guardian summon!)
Too much items you can't use in the beginning.
