Escape Rooms

Postby Kaihaku » Sun Dec 04 2016 8:43pm

My wife surprised me for my birthday this year by sending Lance, myself, and a few friends to an Escape Room. It was Egyptian themed and very entertaining. We managed to get out in 46 minutes and 17 seconds. A highlight was the final secret door opening, Lance rushing to escape only to jump back with a gasp...thought there was a jump scare or something but it was just the receptionist. :) We're planning to try the other three escape rooms at this site. And, I have to admit, the news that there will be Legend of Zelda themed Escape Rooms in the near future tempts me to go visit Arc.

So, have any of you tried an Escape Room? How was your experience?

My wife went through via a work outing. She really enjoyed it but they had a bit of a snag when 3 people didn't show up. That made it significantly harder which required a few hints. She really enjoyed herself though.

There's a few that have started opening up around here. I know that because there've been job listings for hosting/managing the games.

I'll be going to one in about a week, with my team at work. Looking forward to it! If it's good, I'll probably go again with my roommates

There's one just outside my door to the back patio, I can see it now.

But... I have no desire to go, not because I'm not interested, but because it isn't enough, I want an escape building I need 3-4 hours to get out of while actors hound me.

Better suited for Halloween but whatever.

My better half wants to try one, they seem pretty neat, I'm certainly interested to try one out myself.

Escape room? The one time I did it it was a mini one in my primary school and I got out in thirty seconds because I'm just that good at not stopping to enjoy the scenery and atmosphere.

My Brother and Sister and I did one, we didn't quite get out in time, though one reason was that there was a big cryptogram and my brother broke it by hand even though there was a key (A=G etc. type of key) that would have made it alot easier to do.) Also one of the things to do a lock was mis-aligned and we were slightly off on that lock.
