Don't get me wrong. I have no qualms about watching a random youtube myself for a few minutes to get a feel of an unknown game (especially when PSN store doesn't provide a video or demo) but I don't watch any one particular channel/youtuber. It would be the first one that appears on a search list.

I know of someone who religiously watches several hours or so of youtube videos (according to his PSN id) every night and from what he's said they are just other people playing through the games he has so that he can pick up and learn/copy other people's techniques or game glitches or cheats so he can try them out later on.
That, to me, sounds a little daft.
Maybe one or two videos for a part you may be stuck on but several hours each night? :eyebrow:

On a similar sort of note I treat Twitch and Ustream the same way. I'll search out streams of games that I might be interested in or that some of my friends are playing at the time but I wouldn't avidly follow and watch certain streamers.

Usually I'll watch Markiplier's stuff. Him playing Brain Surgeon is quite hilarious, especially his reaction to killing the patient.

I'm not so much of a fan of lets plays personally unless its Mario Party or a specific way someone is playing it (I really liked Projared's Pokemon Nuzlocke series). I like a lot of different 'shows' about gaming though such as Jim Sterling (Jimquision), Projared for pretty much everything he does, The Completionist is really good and always will love Did you know gaming and Game Theory.
I have a youtube channel now that focuses on vlogs about things going on in the gaming industry!

For Let's Play-ers, a few that I watch are Proton Jon (I recall a good Wesker impression somewhere), Roahm Mythril (where I discovered an awesome Megaman fangame called Megaman Unlimited), and PBGGameplay.

Speaking of PBGGameplay, I watch PeanutButterGamer, Caddicarus, Continue?, JonTron, Brutalmoose, AVGN, and Total Biscuit. There are others, but these are ones that come to mind the most readily for me. I even listen to the Fantasy Fiction podcast sometimes, made by Dom (of old Continue?) and Josh (of current Continue?).

My brief exposure to Pewdiepie left me not wanting more.
Current Youtube Activities:
Chroma Squad, Valkyria Chronicles, Shining Force: RotDD.

Sometimes I stream on Twitch.

The closest I'll ever watch is AVGN. I do occasionally watch a video to see how gameplay works to make sure I'll enjoy it, but that's about it.

I met Dom while in Philadelphia a couple months ago. It was amazing.

I dislike JonTron a hell of a lot... I don't see why people go nuts over him... his style is just awful...

That being said, I realise he was a vital part of getting GG off the ground. Doesn't mean I like his style in that either though, I can't go back and watch the old GG because of him, only after Danny joined

All those media do is influence people the wrong way. Although the gaming channel "Console Wars" seems rather fair.
For some reason, I find the majority of birds to be irresistibly cute.

If every gamer could jump to the career of making millions just for video gaming commentary, as Pewdiepie did, they would be all for it. I'm not a fan of his, but I don't hate him for becoming rich from being a glorified video gaming tester either. I do, however, think that there should be subsidies for the game creators when you're essentially using their copyrighted content.

Recently I have been getting more into VanossGaming and their crew. They do get themselves into some stupid shit and their humor, but I personally enjoy it. A greater majority of their coverage is the GTA Online scene (can never have too much fun with C4s), Prop Hunt, and Hide and Go Seek on Garry's Mod.

Will admit I've lessened my viewing on Markiplier lately and not sure why.

Markipliers voice makes me want to kill literally everything. I hate that dude with the passion of a battle frenzied blood drunk berserker.

In the few videos I've seen, all his reactions feel forced and the exaggerated tone he tends to take makes me want to tune out completely... so I've been avoiding his let's plays. He's been fine as a GG guest though, because he drops that gimmick or whatever it is that he's doing on his show.
I despise berzerk attitude.
