I'll have to dash off for a short while an hour or two in, as check in time irritatingly changed.

What time are people sticking around until?

(Change my % chance of coming from 95% to 100%, providing my alarm wakes me up :p)

I have to be back in work for 'around' 8pm (8:30pm would be more than fine a time for me to aim for), and it should only take 30 mins from Chester, so I'm planning on staying to almost 8pm, unless others want to go a bit earlier :)

Definitely 12pm @ TTC, yes?

1 PM, last I looked. That's the time I'm aiming for anyways.

I myself will be aiming to leave on the train just before 7 PM. That should give us time to get lunch in, maybe dinner. Depends where we go and how early we eat.

Well in typical SOUK fashion, I shall again offer to pay for a trip to Pizza Hut :)

In Chester city centre now, will head over to Town Crier/station in a bit.

Last bus to the park & ride's at around 6.30, so I'll probably have to leave at around 6ish.

Why yes indeed, Alec. :) I didn't know if bumping would also allow me to double-post, but thought it might at least get someone to make a "what's all this about then?" post, so cheers for ensuring Plan B worked. ;)

I'm long overdue getting the next meet sorted out (though a few things have been keeping me busy - moving & settling in, numerous hospital appointments, etc.), so wanted to get the ball rolling.

- What sort of dates would work out for anyone who wants to come along? I'm erring towards April or later in spring/summer, as that should give plenty of time for everyone to make arrangements, and personally I'm not sure what my availability's like before then due to upcoming hospital appointments (though these could easily stretch beyond March, depending on if/when I'm booked in for procedures). Plus the weather ought to be that much nicer by then. :)

- Any suggestions for locations? I'd err towards a London/southern meet this time, as the last couple of meets have been more northernly; I'm still wondering if Moogie would want to come along if we headed her way in the south-west. That said, I'm fairly flexible to what works for everyone who's interested in joining. I'd plug Oxford for the sake of laziness, but then I'd also feel obliged to act as tour guide (on a plus note, it does have two Pizza Huts in city centre).

- Is anyone from out of England planning to head our way over the next few months, and if so would you be interested in coming along? We can try to arrange a meet to accomodate you and your visit. :)

I would sooner it be sometime after April. I have a heel spur that may need operating on in the next month or two, and April is the month that Avengers 2 launches, which means holidays will be all but impossible to book due to the manager currently running the rota.

As far as location goes, so long as it's not London, the odds of my coming are > 0.

Whilst we're at it, I'm going to be in the UK around early October for the rugby world cup. There'll be a fair amount of travel, so not sure if I'll be able to SOUK, but keeping it in mind is good, just in case.

Sorry for the delay in replying - I've been waiting until this afternoon when I'd find out more info about my upcoming surgery and how that may affect scheduling. I've been told it'll probably be around 6-8 weeks time, which puts it somewhere around mid/late April (or possibly early May), and I'll then need about 2 weeks recovery.

Following on from that and my earlier post, July's best avoided for me as my current tenancy ends and I'm very, very much looking to move, which means I'd be moving sometime during the month (there's a very slim chance I'd be moving sooner than that, though it's unlikely as that may incur early leaving charges).

Long story short: I think we're looking at sometime between mid-May and the end of June, possibly followed by an Autumn meet in October if Alec's got time to spare. Setting London aside, any further preferences for location/venue?

If my upcoming hike goes well, I think it'd be cool to do some backpacking abroad. Moogwah suggested a trail that goes along the southside of the island. Any of y'all hikers?!

Not since my heel spur. I used to walk almost everywhere, but my back put an end to that.

Okay, getting the ball again on this has been long overdue...

I'm going to be in Chester around the first week of August, so did anyone fancy doing a meetup either in Chester or Liverpool on Saturday 6th August?

Failing that, any other suggestions for dates/locations?

I'm currently off work with a bad back again. It's lasted longer this time. Depending on how things turn out over the next few months will determine if I can or not, as everything is currently up in the air, as you can likely imagine. So 'waiting and seeing' is my position right now.
