I think Diggory is from Sheffield way as well.

I'll have nothing bad said about the beautiful country of Manchester </3

Town Crier is right. It'd be good if we can aim to all arrive at a certain time; I only ever went to that pub for convenience, rather than because it was good.

RastaOddeye: what's your IRL name? And what do you look like. Knowing what/who to look out for can be helpful :) Also, glad to hear you might be making it!

It's James, and roughly 5'8 with partially spikey hair :') Looking forward to it!

Also, could anyone recommend a decent hotel/travel lodge round there?

There is a Travelodge in central Chester I was considering staying at... but then noticed they'd charge around £65 and £115 for Friday and Saturday night respectively, plus I'd need to use a public car park (which, even with the 20% discount offered, would cost a fortune for 36hrs).

Think I'll now be aiming for somewhere on the outskirts, then drive/bus in for the day.

Oh, and for the record...

Yeah, as I don't drive, one on the outskirts probably wouldn't be an option for me. But yeah, I'll shove a picture of me on here for good measure.

Probably worth pointing out that i'm the dude. And i'm well aware I have lipstick smudged on my face...

I'm afraid there's a slight chance I won't be able to make it.

There's been a recent family incident*, and it means I'll need to be available sometime during the next couple of weeks for a family event. I've been keen to let everyone organising it know that I'm busy this weekend, and although it currently doesn't look like it'll clash, the date hasn't been confirmed so there's a possibility that it will.

If I am able to make it, chances are I'll be leaving early enough to drive back on Saturday evening rather than stop for a second night and drive on Sunday (note to self - still got to book accomodation for Friday).

(* I'm reluctant to go into the details on open internet, but anyone wanting more info can PM me - though I suspect many of you may have sussed this out already.)

EDIT: Groovy - now it's confirmed that the family event won't clash with the SOUK weekend, plus it's probably clear for me to stop overnight on Saturday too.

Sorry to hear about the family incident, mate, but I am glad you'll be able to make SOUK with no trouble at all.

So...1pm, Town Crier (opposite Chester train station). It'd be good for everyone to aim for that time if possible. Know I said so before, but I'm not keen on sticking in that pub. There are so many better places in Chester, and if the weather's nice we can have a nice stroll too.

Since we always end up in a Wetherspoons, I have to say that I have a particular liking for the Forest House.

We could always do as last time and aim to meet at a Cex shop.
