Tamaki-san was behind the character designs of FEDA too. Which pretty much explains why they're so awesome.

TUM - Yep, Thornwood was originally called Stormsong in the Japanese SATD.

I added chapter 3 and 4 to my first post. Here are the links again here for convenience:
Chapter 03: http://pastebin.com/CkPv1ars
Chapter 04: http://pastebin.com/AkbW5nd0

Chapter 4 is the first one wherein I could make out all the main text, but it seems to be missing the 5th and 6th pages?

Well, Killy is just what I went with. I can't be sure if that's the intended transliteration.

Here's chapter 5:
http://pastebin.com/b84vtSM4

They might have gotten lazy with this chapter, as it seems they might have forgotten to order frames and bubbles on pages 6&7 properly. There are also some typos and misspellings:

p3f2: daakuerufu mistyped as daakurufu (or "darklf")
p7f4: 肝に銘じて misspelled as 肝に命じて (homophone)

The plot thickens. I love the sort of old school mix of fantasy and sci-fi you get in the earlier Shining entries. A sort of gritter science fantasy. Shame we hardly get that anymore, the newer styles aren't really to my taste.

Awesome work as always.
Did the dragonman's name really translate to Slash? I suppose it makes more sense as a name in japanese

Yes, his name is just a transliteration of slash. And speaking of which, "Kamushin"'s name is probably more appropriately rendered "Khamsim" (the helmeted lizardman in chapter 1). I also accidentally strayed from my usual formatting for chapter 6.

that's a fun chapter. I'm a little confused as to when this was supposed to have taken place. It seems like he hasn't tried to resurrect dark dragon yet? Or he's going to try again?

That's some interesting shining lore I hadn't heard before. Does anyone know what the 'giant of light' is?

This latest chapter implies both that Otrant and Darksol were indeed Ancients, and also that Darksol's motive was to try to ensure the Ancients' survival? How strange.

I could not figure out the actual title of this chapter; the kanji does mean assassin, but the gikun-furigana was too blurry for me to read.

However, thanks to the character count in the furigana being easier to discern in this chapter (since it was written vertically), I realized that what I've been calling the "Millennium War" is actually the "Millennium Nightmare", which also happens to be mentioned in FEDA.

Edit: It occurred to me that the actual title might be "Deathbringer". It does vaguely looks like it (デス・ブリンガー, to compare with the chapter title in the middle of page 1).
